The topic of Male Allies has surfaced in DEI conversations lately but what exactly is it and how can we make it happen?
As part of Credit Suisse Game Changers series, I sat down with Brian Henderson and Christine Yu to talk about making male allyship ‘doable’ and ‘everyday’.
It was so interesting to get a very candid male and female perspective on this issue and to learn of the ways in which having authentic #maleallyship can really push the needle towards achieving #genderequality.
My two favourite takeaways from Christine and Brian:
— “It’s personal, and it’s real. Male allyship is the name of every woman in your life you can support and positively impact.”
— “Male allyship takes humility, practice and perseverance. It’s not always easy, but it is very rewarding and benefits men as well as women.”
Just as it takes two feet to walk- we really need both genders working together to make that allyship happen. ?? if you’re a male ally?
