I had the pleasure of hosting and #moderating the IMO-Singapore Future of Shipping conference, as part of Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2021.
Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Transport, Singapore, and Mr Kitack Lim, Sec-gen of IMO started us off with keynote addresses.
My panelists of maritime leaders and industry professionals delved into the twin pillars for the future of shipping: #decarbonisation and #digitalisation.
They exchanged insights on how ALL countries and stakeholders can build a global coordinated approach towards greener, safer and more efficient shipping.
It’s not about reinventing the wheel but leveraging on #scalability, capacity- assistance, information- sharing and #interoperability to get there. Thank you #MPA and #IMO for having moderate this suite of interesting and meaningful discussions.
