Let’s talk about R E F R A M I NG.

Reframing my thoughts has helped me in many areas of life including conquering stage nerves….

????‍????Yes, I still get the butterflies before I go on stage to start a show or kick off a panel discussion.

???? But instead of thinking:
“I hope I don’t trip up” OR “what will the audience think if something goes wrong?”

✅ I switch to this:
“What a great opportunity to speak to so many people, and INFLUENCE them” OR “relishing this moment where I can ENGAGE with hundreds and draw out insights from our experts”.

????My breath steadies, my excitement is buoyed and my confidence peaks.

Coincidentally, I’ve also applied “positive reframing” when I’m in #momlife mode.

???? Rather than nagging at my kids, “have you done your homework for today? OR “hurry up and practice your 听写”….

✅ I’ve switched to this:
“Can I help you with any school work today?” AND “why don’t we revise 听写 together so it will be a breeze for you in class?”

????Instead of whining, the children have become much more receptive to completing their tasks with a positive attitude, and I find the weekly spelling and 听写drills a lot less tedious. ????

Reframing our thoughts positively about a difficult or negative situation can lead to some desirable outcomes – give it a go!
