Concluded the first half of 2023 celebrating The Association of Banks in Singapore’s 50th Anniversary! It was a spirited evening where banking industry veterans and professionals gathered to commemorate 50 eventful and fruitful years.
Besides acknowledging the baton passed between past and present Chairman of ABS, we heard from our GOH, SM Tharman Shanmugaratnam, who gave his erudite views on #geoeconomics, and the importance of public, private and philanthropic sectors in financing sustainable projects to fight #climatechange.
A highlight for me was bantering on stage with SM Tharman as he spoke about anticipating his next phase in life. ????
We also celebrated the force that has led ABS for the last 41 years, the inimitable Ong Ai Boon, who released her memoir “It’s not me” and received a well-deserved long service award.
