What an invigorating morning at my alma mater, SCGS!
Invited by my teachers to be the guest of honour at the inaugural SC oratorical competition, I watched the finalists in action, handed out well-deserved prizes and gave a keynote on “Effective Public Speaking”.
The response, energy and enthusiasm from the secondary school girls was simply infectious – they laughed, screamed, cheered and would visibly sit up straight when I mention “posture”.
A vast majority of people rank #publicspeaking as the number one fear, but I hope to inspire the next generation of girls to put their hand up to present whenever the opportunity arises – because practice truly makes perfect here! #nextgen#SCAlumni#speakUp
