Bank of Singapore’s 2021 flagship conference, “The Great Reset, Beyond 2021” couldn’t be more apt in describing where we are at right now – at the cusp of a new decade, still fighting the pandemic but buoyed with the hope of a widespread vaccine rollout, the US just welcomed its 46th president….what does this mean for investors and business owners? The virtual conference featured a suite of renowned thought leaders and business disruptors to welcome a decade of change, innovation and sustainability.
I had the opportunity to moderate a keynote dialogue with the erudite Dr Raghuram Rajan, former Chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund and ex-governor of the Reserve Bank of India on the future of globalisation and its imminent impact on market movements. As an economics major, it was a huge deal for me to meet Dr Rajan and to get his insights on key geopolitical events.
I also interviewed leading business entrepreneurs, Chatri Sityodtong, Founder & CEO, ONE Championship Florian Reuter, CEO, Volocopter GmbH and Stephen Attenborough, Commercial Director, #VirginGalactic on disruptive technologies and cutting-edge business innovations that will drive their industries in the next few years.
The conference was rounded off with inspiring breakout sessions of which, I had the privilege of moderating an in-depth discussion on the opportunities in the ESG space with ESG champions, Esther An, head of #sustainabilityCity Developments Limited and Chitra Hepburn, head of APAC, #ESGMSCI Inc.
